About the role

The postholder will deliver engaging and supportive workshops to young people seeking education, employment or training and will also support people on a one to one basis.  This is a casual post and the hours will vary depending on the numbers of young people on programme. There is also flexibility in the days worked.


As the Employability Programme Support Officer for Achieving for Children, you will be responsible for

●        Preparing, delivering and evaluating workshops

●        Supporting young people undertaking online training and learning activities

●        Carrying out reviews of progress and feeding back to the Employability Programme Lead

About you

To be an Employability Coach for AfC, you will be passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people as well as demonstrating the following points

●        Ability to communicate effectively with young people in a motivating and positive manner

●        Able to prepare and deliver and differentiate learning activities to a diverse range of young people

●        An understanding of the barriers young people from vulnerable groups may face when entering employment and education and the ability to discuss and understand individual needs

Start dates

Achieving for Children have fixed start dates, candidates are advised to prepare for this should a job offer be accepted to ensure eligible continuous service is not affected.
