Salary: £25,809 - £28,215 per annum 
Hours: Full time, 36 hours per week

Location: The role will be based within the Richmond Borough Children’s Centres here will be a requirement to cover all the sites within the borough.

About the role
We are looking for a Children’s Centre Administration Officer to join our team at a time of exciting and positive change.
  • The post will be supervised by the Children’s Centre manager. The post holder will have direct line management responsibilities of the CC Administrative Assistants and where appropriate the Way2Work Apprentices.
  • Supporting the smooth running of all of the centre sites, including outreach venues, and to assist the wider centre teams with day to day organisational and administrative duties.
  • Be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining efficient administration practices, including recording and filing systems and the effective use of IT systems where relevant, to support the smooth running of office functions in the centre and outreach delivery sites.
  • Be responsible for the day to day data requirements of the centres, including keeping all registration and attendance records for centre users up to date and recorded using the agreed IT applications and in accordance with record keeping policies. Ensuring that data quality is of the highest standard, running reports to support the centres as required and liaising with the data manager on all relevant matters.

About you
To be Children’s Centre Administration Officer for AfC, you will be passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people  as well as demonstrating the following points
  • Be able to plan and prioritise your own workload with limited supervision whilst maintaining the highest standards of administrative support for the centres.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous manner at all times and in all communications whether written, electronic, verbal, telephone or in person, while maintaining discretion and confidentiality at all times for all users. 
  • Be responsible for keeping financial records up to date as requested, responsible for limited cash handling duties in accordance with agreed AfC protocol and procedures.
