Social Worker - Referral and Assessment
Salary - Up to £40,728 | Based in Kingston/ Twickenham | Permanent  | 36 hours

About the role
All of our social work roles work in partnership with children, young people and those connected to them, in order to co-create plans that meet the identified need. The core activities for a Social Worker with in Referral and Assessment Teams include: 
  • Manage an agreed caseload of child and young people to safeguard and protect the welfare of young people
  • Complete short-term work to meet needs and prevent long term involvement
  • To prepare and maintain case records and other casework information
  • Formulate care plans in partnership based on the child or young person's assessment of need

About you
The role in a Referral and Assessment team can be demanding and rewarding in equal measures. To succeed in this role you will need to be: 
  • A fantastic communicator
  • A resilient worker, able to work effectively in a team or on your own initiative, taking ownership and responsibility 
  • Confident and competent with relevant statutory and regulatory framework and of an appropriate range of professional interventions.
  • A solution focused person with the ability to deal with sensitive issues
