Salary - £26,520 - £28,992 | Based in Kingston | Permanent   | Full-time 36 hours

About the role
We are looking for a Children’s Centre Practitioner to join our team at a time of exciting and positive change. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and qualified practitioner with a good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and proven experience of supporting children's learning and development in the early years, together with experience of supporting families, especially those families that may be considered vulnerable or at risk of poor outcomes. 

As a Children's Centre Practitioner your main duties will include:
  • Delivery of sessions such as Stay & Play, Messy Play, etc to support children's learning & development virtually and on site.
  • Modelling of best practice and supporting parental knowledge of how children learn 
  • Associated planning & evaluation for such sessions 
  • Recording observations of learning and tracking children's progress 
  • Evaluating the impact of provision for children and parents /carers
The post holder will be line managed by a Children’s Centre Lead Practitioner to plan and deliver a range of activities to meet identified needs at sites across the Borough thereby requiring the ability to travel across this given area.

About you
The Children's Centre Practitioner post is based within the Borough of Kingston Upon Thames. The team work together to identify current needs of children and families to ensure that necessary services are provided. This Practitioner role involves planning for and delivery of sessions across a range of sites and virtually.

The Children’s Centres are operative 52 weeks a year and the successful post holder will be required to work throughout the year. These are not term time only posts.
