Senior Practitioner - Safeguarding
Salary - £39,774 - £42,684 per annum | Based in Twickenham or Kingston | Permanent | Full-time

About the role
We currently have two Senior Practitioner opportunities in our Safeguarding Teams, one to be based in Twickenham, and one to be based in Kingston from September.

The Child Protection Teams work directly with children who are subject to a Child Protection Plan, or who have Child in Need status, and their families. The team work to a range of legal options to support investigation and protection and accommodation and, if required, give evidence in court, using contingency planning to anticipate complexity and changing circumstances.

As a Senior Practitioner - Safeguarding for Achieving for Children, you will be responsible for:
  • Holding caseloads of more complex cases and provide advice to other Social Workers in relation to their cases. 
  • Complete longer-term work with families in order to meet identified need and improve outcomes for children.
  • Ensuring reports which are prepared for Court are of high quality, and to support and prepare workers in the Court process, including giving evidence in Court, as required.
  • Ensuring effective and timely communication within and across the business unit, so that key messages are conveyed to employees, partners, suppliers and other stakeholders in a consistent way. 
  • Supporting Social Workers throughout their year of ASYE.

Start dates
